Facebook API 3.0 Released / Nametest Apps version 2.0

After the Cambridge analytica scandal and the facebook quiz apps that were found to be leaking data, the platform now announced a bunch of API changes aimed to protect the user’s data.

So all app using the Facebook platform API need to go through more comprehensive review before the 1st August, you all need to submit your all existing apps for review. At that period developers will not lose their API access while their app is reviewing as long as your API comply with Facebook Platform Policies.

The reason behind it only to protect people’s Facebook information During the app review process, Facebook requires certain permissions associated with Messenger Platform API and Page Platform API. For more information about the App review process visit here.
